The international journal of scientific publications High Technologies of Mechanical Engineering  was founded by the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" (NTU "KhPI"), at M.F. Semko Department of Integrated Engineering Technologies in 2000 (Certificate of the State Committee for Information Policy, Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine KV 7839 dated 08.09.2003). The NTU "KhPI" has been the publisher of the journal since its inception. The publications are issued in Ukrainian, Russian, English and German.

The editor-in-chief of the journal is Dr. Mykola Volodymyrovich Verezub, Professor of Engineering.

The international scientific and technical journal has been rewritten and approved as a scientific edition of technological sciences, in which lecturers, research assistants, graduate students and competitors for an academic degree get the opportunity to publish scientific articles and degree work results, and the opportunity to exchange scientific and practical information in Ukraine and abroad.

The international scientific journal is registered in the International registration system of serial publications issued under the standardized code ISSN 2078-7677. An electronic copy is posted on the homepage of NTU "KhPI".

The journal contains scientific publications, covering the pressing issues of high technologies of mechanical engineering. The problems of environmentally safe production, modern instrumental supply, 3D modeling for simulating instrumental and working surfaces, received through nanotechnologies, minimization technologies of feeding lubricant-cooling agents etc. are presented in the journal.

The journal High Technologies of Mechanical Engineering is intended for engineers, researchers, and students.

The journal cooperates actively with well-known scientific schools of Ukraine (Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsya, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Lviv, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Sevastopol, Simferopol, Sumy), Austria, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, Romania, Russia, Hungary etc.
